Member -Guest Tournament

Airway Meadows Golf Course held its 2nd Annual Member-Guest Tournament, Saturday July 20th. With 20 teams entered in the handicapped better ball tournament, Mike Coppernoll and his guest Gary Foster fired a net 58 (-14) to become Airway Meadows 2nd Member-Guest Champions. Second place was the team of Joe Driscoll and John Carlin (61, -11) while third place was Art Petrie and Don Eddy (63, -9).

A Closest to the pin contest was held on the 9th hole with Marie Petrie putting it nearest
the cup at 18 feet, 10 inches.

A straightest drive contest was held on the 5th hole with Bob Louis being the winner after striping one down the center of the fairway.

Club Championship 2002

Steve Coulter shot an 82 (low gross) to win the club championship at Airway Meadows Golf Course during their 2nd Annual Club Membership Tournament held on Saturday, August 11th, 2002.  Twenty-three club members competed against the course and the triple H’s (hazy, hot, and humid) to establish this year’s club champion.  Steve Lovejoy and Glen Hembach each fired an 84 to tie for second place.

Donna Denue won the women’s championship beating Deborah Bryk by one stroke.  Marie Petrie secured third place honors.

The overall low net category was won by Steve Lovejoy who ended with a 61, Deborah Byrk had a 69, and Donna Denue and Glen Hembach tied for third with 70’s.
