NENY PGA JGT Event #2 was held at Airway Meadows Golf Club on July 7, 2011. 108 junior golfers from the area participated. They had an outstanding day of good golf and good weather. They came from as far away as Dalton, MA, Plattsburgh, NY, North Caldwell, NJ and Hurley, NY to participate. Many locals played as well including representation from Gansevoort, Wilton, Fort Edward, Queensbury, Greenwich, Glens Falls and Ballston Spa. We also welcomed juniors from Clifton Park, Schenectady, Loudonville, Ballston Lake, Rensselear, Broadalbin, Schaghticoke, Schoharie, Niskayuna, Slingerlands, Pittsfield, MA, Delmar, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Rainbow Lake, Gloversville, Crayville, Glenville, Greenfield Center, Amsterdam, and AuSable Forks. We note 18 hole low scores of 71 by Jimmy Greg of Clifton Park in the Boys 16-18 yr old category, a low 71 posting by Dustin Fisher of Saranac Lk and Arthur Griffin of Lake Placid in the Boys 13-15 yr old category and a 72 posted by Bailey Cocca of Latham, NY in the Girls 16-18 yr old category. A Low 9-hole score of 43 was posted by Grayson DeMarco of Queensbury in the Boys 8-12 category and a 58 by Carley Sawyer from Rainbow Lake, NY in the Girls 8-12 category. Boys and Girls participated and all exercised good golf etiquette and a polite manner at our clubhouse and on the golf course. Staff and Management enjoyed having them, as did Club Members who also volunteered; ie, Ruth Pouliot, Carol Singer, Patrick Shawver and Jack Tuck. We thank you. Click here for detailed results
