2007 Annual League Championship
On Sunday, September 30th, Airway Meadows Golf
Course held it’s 5th Annual League Championship. The format
was each league selected four of it’s best golfers to play 18 holes of
standard stroke play. The team score was the total of the 3 best 18
hole scores of the four. Here are the results.

 The Friday night
scramble is a 4 player, 9-hole scramble that occurs every Friday night
with teams drawn at random at 5pm with a shotgun start shortly after. “A”
players or individuals with a handicap of 12 or under are set aside as
team captains and the rest of the team is picked at random from a hat.
Cash prizes are awarded for 1st place through 3rd
place and for skins in the tavern after the round. The cost of the
scramble is $20 and that includes greens fees and a ½ cart rental. An
additional $10 is also collected for the prize fund.
Airway
Meadows Women's League has openings for players. Beginners to
Intermediate players invited. This golf league was formed for shear fun and
for our love of the game. Play will be on Wednesday evenings, 4:30 -
5:30 Tee times. Informal atmosphere. Choice of who you play with
keeping your goal at playing with all capital region golf league
members at least once during season. Stroke play weekly. Last week
of each month will have a different group format such at 4-Player

The
Men's League known as "The Road to the Ugly Jacket"
is seeking more players for this golf season. They Tee off from 4:30 - 5:30.
The best
time to reach Eric is between 5pm - 9pm weekdays, anytime weekends.
They are looking forward to having a group of 50 golfers and use a
point system. They are a lively fun group. Contact

Club
40 Golf League is active. It is a couples league consisting of
the first 20 man/woman teams who sign up. They play on
Sunday evenings, shotgun start at 4:45. Dues are $2 per golfer per week plus a
special league price of $22 for 9 holes with golf cart rental.
Scores are kept for you and an end of season tournament paid for
from dues. Weekly competitions are offered. Some additional

The
Tech II League is open to more players. They play Tuesdays and
tee off at 4:30 - 5:10. They are a casual group of men using stroke
play with weekly competitions including Closest to the Pin, Longest
Drive etc.. Score recordkeeping and handicaps established.

Monday/Wednesday AM Group - Gathering of men and women golfers under the tent after pro Shop check in by 7:45 am, Tee Times 8am - ?,

Thursday Morning Mixed League 9:30am called "Free Lunch League". They work it like a package, 9 holes w/cart plus group lunch including soda or beer $13 golf league price + $8 cart + $6 lunch w/soda, draft beer or coffee, plus tip + $1 in hat to see who gets the free lunch. Fun, fun They are a mixed group of men & women and you are usually all done by 12:45 or 1pm. relatively easy for the general public to get on the course in the late afternoon even with our leagues.
