Brian Rhodes is a PGA Teaching Professional at Airway Meadows Golf Club in Gansevoort, NY. Brian joined the Airway Meadows staff this year after serving as the Head Golf Professional at Saratoga Spa Golf since 2002. Brian is a Class"A" PGA Professional since 1998 and was also employed as a Golf Professional at several prestigious clubs in Connecticut, including the Country Club of Waterbury and TPC River Highlands, a PGA Tour facility. Brian was named the Connecticut Section PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the year in 2000.

Brian is an experienced and skilled teacher of the game. He has given several thousand individual and group lessons since 1995 and is known for his innovative, fun approach to the game. Brian is the owner of Saratoga Junior Golf, Inc the area‘s leading junior golf program and was awarded the NENY PGA Junior Golf Leader for 2005. Brian is also an accomplished club fitter and is available to recommend and custom fit equipment to improve your game.

Brian is a USGA/PGA nationally certified Rules Official, and has served as Rules Committee Chairman for both the Connecticut and NENY PGA sections. Brian continues to pursue his interest in the Rules of Golf by conducting Rules Clinics for local groups and golf courses and by serving as a volunteer Rules Official at both local and regional golf tournaments.

Brian is a graduate of SUNY @Albany and resides outside Saratoga with his wife Sherri and daughter Isabelle. Brian is available for private and group instruction, junior golf opportunities and club fitting sessions. Curt Lohrey comes to us from the Sagamore Golf Club in Bolton Landing, New York where he was an Assistant Golf Professional under the direction of Thomas Smack, Director of Golf and PGA Head Professional. Curt joined the PGA in 2003 after completing a 25 year career with the New York State Police and became a full member of the PGA in August of 2006 by obtaining his Class A status as a Golf Professional.

Curt’s extensive teaching experience includes many private lessons, corporate clinics, group lessons for juniors and beginners, working with high school golf teams, organizing and implementing a 3 day golf school and providing on course instruction in the management, rules and etiquette of the game of golf.

Curt is affiliated and certified with the Professional Clubmakers Society of Lousiville, KY where he is a certified club maker and club fitter. Curt will bring extensive knowledge in the field of club repair, club making and club fitting and will be offering these services as part of his teaching programs.

Curt is a graduate of Hillsdale College, Michigan, obtained a Masters from Suny Albany and resides in the area with his wife, Charlene and two Children, Brooke and Brett.

Men’s Beginner Group Lesson Series

Limit 6 per class – If more sign up, will create another class time on the same date.

LEAGUE CLINICS – TBA – Clinics on the Short Game Given prior to League Play. Clinics will be based upon interest generated. 45 minutes

Cost will be between $5.00 and $10.00 based on signups.

May is Free Lesson Month. Free 10 Minute Lesson given by the golf Professional on one aspect of basic fundamentals.

Following Dates:
May 5th – Saturday Morning – 10:00am to 12:00noon
May 19th – Saturday Morning – 10:00am to 12:00noon

Free Fitting Clinic – Date to be announced based upon interest generated. Will be in Late May with emphasis on Club Evaluation – Picking out the Correct Club Design – Steps of a Proper Fitting Program.

Golf Club Fitting - $50.00 – *NOTE - If the clubs are made and purchased through Curt the Cost of the fitting is part of the cost of the clubs.
